Serial Burglar In Stolen Car Arrested For 5th Time In Fairfax County

A 22-year-old serial burglar was arrested for the fifth time in a 102-day span for a crime spree across Fairfax County, authorities said.

Angel Argueta Galeas, 22, of Hybla Valley, was in possession of several items that were suspected to have been stolen when police first arrested him last week, on Tuesday morning, Dec. 12, county police said.

Detectives identified the property owners and confirmed the items were confirmed to have been stolen. Additional warrants were issued for Argueta Galeas's arrest.

After being released from jail, he was found operating a stolen Hyundai Sonata with stolen license plates. He was taken into custody. Detectives determined the vehicle was stolen from the West Springfield Police District earlier in the day, Fairfax County police said.

Argueta Galeas was charged with three counts of Misdemeanor Destruction of Property, three counts of Petit Larceny, three counts of Vehicle Trespassing and one count of Credit Card Theft. He was also charged with Grand Larceny – Auto Theft, Destruction of Property, Petit Larceny, and Violating Conditions of his Release. He was held on no bond.
